This cycling tour takes us through stunning Dalmatia, featuring the unique charm of the island of Brač and the beautiful Makarska Riviera. From the coast, the route then leads inland, all the way to the iconic city of Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
From there, we continue along the remarkable — truly one-of-a-kind — Ćiro Trail, cycling all the way to Dubrovnik. It’s a varied and dynamic journey that highlights the region’s diverse landscapes, immerses us in different cultures, and guides us through beautiful places rich in tradition, heritage, unspoiled nature, and authentic local life.
On this beautiful cycling journey, you will discover two different countries, experience multiple cultures, and ride along the legendary Ćiro Trail. The route takes you to Biokovo Nature Park, the breathtaking Blue Lake and Red Lake, and the unique wetlands of Hutovo Blato Nature Park. Along the way, you’ll experience the timeless atmosphere of Mostar—pure poetry in stone and history—before the journey reaches its grand finale in Dubrovnik, offering an unforgettable experience in what is widely considered the most beautiful city on the Adriatic.

BRAČ ISLAND TO BAŠKA VODA VIA MAKARSKA
FROM DALMATIAN ISLAND TO BIOKOVO
A beautiful day on the bike, dedicated to pure exploration. We begin by leaving Brač Island at its easternmost point, cycling across the island all the way to the seaside town of Sumartin. From there, we take a boat to Makarska, a vibrant coastal town at the heart of the Makarska Riviera, dramatically framed by the rugged mountain range of Biokovo.
From Makarska, there’s the option to visit Biokovo Nature Park, where a walk to the spectacular skywalk viewpoint offers breathtaking views high above the Adriatic. The journey then continues by bike beneath the mountains, following the coastline toward Baška Voda and Brela, where the essence of traditional Dalmatia truly comes to life.
It’s a day full of contrasts and transitions—from island rhythms and coastal towns to mountain landscapes rising 1,000 meters and more above sea level, within one of the most impressive mountain ranges in the Balkans.

Today, we explore the Dalmatian Hinterland, a vast and lesser-known region stretching along a 150-kilometer belt behind the Adriatic coast, high on a rugged inland plateau. This is Dalmatia at its most authentic—quiet, open, and shaped by nature and tradition. One of the highlights of the day is a visit to the stunning Blue Lake and Red Lake near Imotski—a true masterpiece of nature, often described as pure geological poetry.
By bike, we then cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina, riding through Posušje and Široki Brijeg, gradually approaching the iconic city of Mostar.
This stage is a true cycling adventure, leading us to a city whose name comes from its famous bridge—or more precisely, from the historic guard towers that once protected it. Mostar is something truly special: raw, atmospheric, and deeply authentic. It’s a place you don’t just visit—you experience it.
